Dr. Matt Sokol is focused on finding the root cause of issues, not just handing out a diagnosis — but at the same time, he’s very pragmatic and willing to use traditional medicine to manage symptoms in the short term when appropriate. That balance is rare and incredibly valuable. Dr. Sokol is one of the most engaged physicians I’ve ever worked with. He’s not just interested in symptoms — he’s interested in me: my medical history, my lifestyle, and the full story behind what’s going on. You never feel rushed or reduced to a checklist. It’s clear he’s genuinely curious and invested in understanding the bigger picture so he can get to the underlying cause. Another huge differentiator is that Ivalo MD can serve as your primary care physician, which is surprisingly uncommon in the functional medicine space. Add to that their concierge model, with two entry points depending on your budget and needs, and it becomes a very approachable way to get this level of care. Ivalo MD is truly next-level care. From my very first visit, I felt genuinely cared for and never rushed. Dr. Sokol and his wife, Erin, create such a welcoming, supportive experience and make me feel truly known as a person, not just another patient. Communication is exceptional, and Dr. Sokol takes the time to really listen and understand the full picture, not just a checklist of symptoms. His thoughtfulness, attentiveness and proactive approach bring so much peace of mind. It’s incredibly comforting to know I have a physician who is deeply invested in my health. After years of frustration with mainstream medicine, I finally found the kind of care I had been looking for with Dr. Sokol. I was frusrrated, dejected and felt like just another number in a system that seemed rushed, uncaringand impersonal. My health was declining without anyone truly listening. Dr. Sokol completely changed that experience. He spends real, quality time with his patients and takes the time to genuinely get to know you — not just your chart. He is thorough, thoughtful, patient, and incredibly kind. I never feel rushed, and every concern is taken seriously. What truly sets him apart is his accessibility and commitment. He is available when you need him and approaches care with both expertise and compassion. It’s clear he truly cares about his patients’ long-term health and well-being. Dr. Sokol is awesome! Finally, I have found a doctor that listens to me! I tend to ask a ton of questions, many of which, I think to ask after a visit with him. He is easy to contact and always responds to my questions; no matter how trivial they may seem. He runs a lot of tests and goes over the results in order to fine tune my health for optimal performance. He gets involved with my nutrition and exercise. He is very knowledgeable. I had kind of given up on connecting with any doctor. It seemed that most just glanced over me and prescribed things. Dr. Sokol gets to know my personal needs. He and his wife, Erin, do an outstanding job running Ivalo. They both are committed to making sure their patients get what they’re looking for. I no longer feel like I’m not being heard. It can be scary to decide on a doctor. I’m so glad I found them. I wish I had done this sooner.
