I recently visited Kern Endocrine Center and had a very positive experience. The staff was professional, welcoming, and efficient from check-in to checkout. The office was clean, organized, and well-managed, which made the visit feel smooth and stress-free. The provider took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained my condition in clear and understandable terms, and made sure all of my questions were answered. I never felt rushed, and I truly appreciated the personalized attention and thorough approach to my care. If you’re looking for an endocrinology office that values patient care, communication, and professionalism, I would definitely recommend Kern Endocrine Center.

Pretty much the most unresponsive and incompetent staff I’ve ever seen. They never answer phones (don’t leave your number when they say they will call back because they don’t). They never follow up on preauthorization request or refills. The providers are good but is it worth dealing with such terrible customer service? It’s sad that they are so beyond incompetent and are messing with people’s medical issues like it’s nothing. If you have a good doctor elsewhere, even an ok one, then avoid kern endocrine like the plague.

I have been calling for weeks for an appointment after being referred by my primary care. I sit on hold for any where from 10-20 min for some to pick up and say “please hold” and then hang up on me. You can’t make appointment online because it shows now avail schedule for provider looking out to June and July. I have no thyroid after having mine removed due to cancer and you cannot get a single person on the phone at this office!!!! I spent an hour today calling and got hung up on 4xs, once as they are speaking!!! I finally called my Primary to see if they could help and they said they hear this a lot and would call for me, even if they have to call multiple times!

Endocrinologist is great. Good luck getting any phone calls answered or returned, though. Reception is awful. That’s an understatement. Need to get a prescription straightened out. Can’t get through to front desk. Left message. No return call. Even had VA nurse call them on my behalf, still no resolution. I’m out of meds now, with none on the way.

I truly enjoy the professionalism of Julie Cortez the PA that I see... unfortunately I'm going to to sever my patient relationship with this group because it is impossible to get through to anyone. The phones are never answered and no one returns calls. I just waited on hold, again, this time for 27 minutes, I got a recording instead of a person. This was after it said I was number 2 in their que! What a joke. I've seen numerous negative reviews about the issues with the office staff. I personally spoke with the office manager regarding this and she assured me it was being addressed, being worked on and would be remedied ....unfortunately that is NOT the case. With today's technology this is totally unexcusible. I've seen the condescending responses from the provider yet the problem continues. WORSE ever patient service I've ever received. Now I'm forced with having to travel out of state without my medication due to the horrid incompetent staff at Kern Endocrinology. I wish I could give them minus 10 for customer service.
