After working with 3 other doctors and multiple specialists for over 4 years to find solutions, I finally decided to try Sanctuary Functional Medicine. Functional medicine was something I had heard about, but this was my first experience which has blessed my life and my family's. From the first onboarding appointment into the intensive program, I felt truly heard for the first time. No detail was unimportant - they wanted to know my full history which helped to direct testing and then treatment based on the results. When you have been ill for so long and watch your life disintegrate when it seems you are trying to do everything right (clean eating and daily exercise) yet to no avail, it was a relief to have a partner that was walking alongside me. The regular medical community would not allow me to request extra specialized testing if there was something I brought to the table as a concern, but Sanctuary not only accommodated me, but we were also able to discuss things as if I was one of their colleagues and not one of their patients. While all of us wish that the road back to health could be quick and painless once we find the right medical partner, our bodies are composed of many complex systems and it takes time, patience, and yes, some tough days to reverse damage that has been done. I learned to trust the process and God to make it through the program along with putting in the work to follow the protocols and their guidance. The knowledge, support and encouragement of not only Dr. Potter but also Lauren helped me immensely. They both made me feel heard, safe, and that they could be trusted with my health. I haven't felt this good in decades! I will miss seeing them since they have really become good friends, but with the knowledge they have given me, I'm more in control of my health than ever before.

I highly recommend Sanctuary Functional Medicine in Franklin, TN. Dr. Potter and his entire team are compassionate, knowledgeable, and take a true whole-person approach to healing. I’ve had an amazing experience! Doctor Potter and his WHOLE team are perfect and so understanding and supportive. They are extremely responsive. They are very dedicated and put in lots of time for each patient. They are so intentional in how they care for each patient. Doctor Potter and his team have given me my life back. I could not recommend them enough.

Dr Potter and my nurse practitioner, Sunny Austin together, have been a lifesaver for me, after many years of mold sickness with no answers from regular doctors. When I first came to SFM I was at my wits end, with chronic illness nobody understood. Finally, to be able to get a diagnosis and be affirmed. I can’t tell you the difference it makes when someone takes you seriously, and you have a plan. Yes, it’s expensive, but worth it, because I can get in touch with them when I’m having trouble, and know they will get back to me. The other huge benefit from being a patient here is that Dr. Potter knows everything about mold testing your body, testing your home, remediation, all of it. In my case, insurance doesn’t pay for any of this, so they have to charge what they do to stay in business and help all of us people that fall through the cracks. Dr. Potter has bent over backwards explaining all the details (lots of details in getting rid of mold) and making sure my husband also is on board with things that have had to be done in my house to remediate. I felt all alone in my illness and now have knowledgeable professionals in my corner. I feel like I have the best experience and best care.
