Going anonymous here. This doctor does not take women’s sexual health seriously. He will just tell you it is all in your head. Seeing him was a waste of money and time. He told me: “Your brain is your sex organ.” “Your testosterone is high enough, that’s why you have acne on your face.” “You need to explore your body… males have been doing it since they could, but not girls.” I don’t know where you men get this from because this is incorrect. This is so unprofessional. There is no excuse. He acted like I have been living under a rock my whole life. Dr. Gittens, stop spreading lies to women and take them seriously. You should look up who Jessica Pin is and follow her on social media because I am not convinced you know much about clitoral anatomy. Much of clitoral anatomy was omitted from medical literature. Women deserve better care than this. Your ignorance is contributing to the continuation of disregard for female sexual function in the medical field. People like you who claim to be top docs for sexual function for both genders need to do something. There are so many penile imaging protocols and tests that are established and covered by insurance, and none for the clitoris because doctors like you don’t even try (no matter how desperate the patient is) even though they CAN be done. There are women out there who have to suffer without answers because doctors like you will just blame it on distress and not do anything about it. Edit: Thank you for your response. I am a patient, and I chose to remain anonymous to protect my privacy. During my visit, Dr. Gittens told me that my hymen was “still intact,” implying that being in a relationship would solve all of my problems. The hymen does not have anything to do with sexual function, and this comment felt very outdated and dismissive. Instead of focusing primarily on emotional distress, he could have asked questions or informed me about other physiological factors, such as engorgement or nerve pathways. My review accurately reflects my experience with Dr. Gittens. My experience clearly highlights a serious issue, which is systemic disregard for female sexual function in medicine.

This practice is amazing. I have never felt so heard and understood about my sexual problems. I have been suffering with low libido and pain with sex for several years. I have been to the "best" doctors in the country with no help. I saw Dr. Gittens and he listened. I have been under his care for 6 months. My libido has improved and I am now able to have sex and enjoy it again. Thank you, Rockwell Centers for saving my relationship and giving me my confidence again.

As a patient of Dr. Gittens, I can attest that he is a most excellent Urologist using the most cutting edge, state of the art techniques and treatment modalities. I saw him for a very unusual medical condition that was considered untreatable by the other professionals I saw. He is a polite, empathic and exceptionally skilled professional.
