Stay away from the Men's resource center. My counselor was providing counseling services to a close family member of mine while also providing me counseling. This is a dual relationship and is expressly forbidden by the ethical codes of conduct. I told Mr. Flood, the director about this and he did nothing. They preach accountability but don't practice it. Please not that all the positive reviews here are not testimonials of clients.

Randy Flood, Amy Van Gunst and the Men’s Resource Center continually put my family at risk. The approach was cold, uninformed, victim-blaming and dangerous. I individually explained the past and they ignored obvious red flags. Despite convictions for domestic and gun violence and a prison sentence, Van Gunst, Flood and the staff ignored all of my exes past and current behavior and seemed to be charmed by his manipulation. MRC (also known at Fountain Hill Center) enabled our abuse. Even after exhibiting dangerous behavior they tried to dismiss my child’s first-hand experience and concerns. At one point after physical abuse had occurred Van Gunst tried to force my child to get on a plane even after disclosed physical abuse to MRC. Amy Van Gunst, MRC, FHC and RF are mandated reporters, they made no report and did not inform the court or judge. This practice allowed every parent coordination session for 7 years to be an opportunity for manipulation by my ex and to be transactional. They are not a safe nor responsible practitioner. We used them for 8 years.

I am inspired and grateful for the leadership that the Men's Resource Center has provided in our community as a service provider and thought leader in healing and growing individuals and groups. My interactions with each of the staff have been phenomenal. I am greatly impressed with how leadership at the Men's Resource Center has influenced human issues of domestic violence and toxic masculinity. Supporting their center will go a long way towards continued growth for us individuals as well as a community.

I have watched Randy Flood and his colleagues as they have developed the Men's Resource Center from its inception. The passion that they bring to this critical resource for men in west Michigan and beyond is beyond compare. The services they provide to men and boys are a beacon of hope in a world that desperately needs a redefinition of what it means to be a male that is functional in his own growth, the growth of his relationships, and the transformation of what it means to move forward as a society.

Men's resource center is an excellent resource for men in the community. They provide exceptional quality services for mental and emotional health and assist men with the wide array of challenges they may face.
