This review is for Nutritionist Karin Michalk. I met Karin about 7 months ago, at another location, and followed her to Functional Medicine of North Idaho. Karin is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day and her knowledge and insight is IMPRESSIVE. 2 years ago I was hospitalized with kidney stones, ecoli and Sepsis. Kootenai hospital treated me with a very powerful antibiotic. After my treatment was over I discovered that I had contracted C Diff from my hospital roommate and I was prescribed another 2 antiobiotics to rid the C Diff. It took me 7 months to heal myself from C Diff with the help from C Diff survivors on a FB support group. (Oddly, most MD Drs don't have much guidance for this illness) Although I felt better, I did NOT feel well. I met Karin and she methodologically sorted out ALL of the problems I was experiencing: glucose, diet, insomnia, gut issues. If you're considering taking the the Genova gut biome test, I highly recommend it. It is a bit pricey but simply Karen explained the rsults to me and I NEVER would have known that 4 crucial gut biome strains were either dead or inactive due to all of the antibiotics i was on 2 years ago. Karin told me what to eat to try to nurture them back to life and it must've worked because my gut feels so much better. Karin is soft spoken, intelligent, thoughtful and truly knows nutrition. I'm beyond grateful to have met Karin. Thank you, Karin!!!!! You're the BEST.

I have been seeing Nikole Tabaracci for over a year and Karin Michalk for the last few months. They are both absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend them.

Save yourself the time and energy and just go somewhere else. I called and attempted to set up an appointment and was referred to set everything up online. My first interaction was rather poor, I didn't get a warm welcome nor was any kind of confidence instilled they would be in the future, more of a snotty/stop bothering me attitude. I then moved on from that experience and set up the online part and then scheduled an appointment via the online portal I was referred to. I then drove an hour each way to arrive for my appointment and was then informed new patients can't schedule online. They claimed to have called and left me a voice mail "From their call log" but this is 100% inaccurate and I am unable to schedule the appointment. So far my entire experience with Function Medicine of North Idaho has been very poor.

I love FMNI-the nurses and admin are kind and responsive. And I love working with Jessie. She is dedicated to her patients, and very thorough and thoughtful in her care. I've worked with several other functional medicine providers over the years, and have stayed with Jessie because she balances the best of conventional medicine, with functional medicine -she is realistic about supplements and testing, and sensitive to cost and time. I have experienced great healing and physical relief as a result of my work with Jessie- I have more energy, my digestive issues have basically resolved, and we are working to bring balance to those pesky hormones. I just wish I had started this process sooner!

I love coming here! Friendly front office staff, friendly And caring doctors. From the moment I called and inquired, I made a friendship. Sheryl cares, and wants to see everyone feeling the best and to their max potential! From the first appointment I went to, Arrian gave me her undivided all in listening attention. Each visit she remembers what we discussed last time, genuinely cares about my overall health, physically and mentally, and wants to see me on the best path for success. Functional medicine has gone above and beyond to search for the underlying issues. Small baby steps, but all their work is thorough, more than any doctors office has done. All to help me find the best functioning, healthy thyroid! I refer anyone who is looking for a doctor to go to Functional Medicine of North Idaho!
