When I first started with Essence for Wellness I had already been under the care of another Integrative medicine practice. I was given direction from them to go on an elimination diet. Almost 6 weeks into the diet I didn’t get much relief from my symptoms so I started under the care of Ed and Luzia Costa at Essence for Wellness. I did a liver cleanse and another 6 week long elimination diet that was more detailed. After taking their advice on my health ands staying strict on the diets my health is pretty well on track and I feel wonderful! Luzia was a god send and gave me such insight on my health and not just food that is medicine. It’s also your mind body and souls health that’s very important to consider as well. I would highly recommend using them Essence for Wellness as your functional medicine practice. They pay great attention to your story and what you want to accomplish and so knowledgeable. I would use them again in a heart beat. Thanks Ed and Luzia!

I have been seeing Ed and Luzia Costa since June 2024. I can not say enough about how appreciative I'm with both of them relative to how professional, caring and knowledgeable they are in what it relates to functional medicine. They've cared about the specifics of me regaining full well being and total health. I definitely recommend Essence for Wellness to anyone wanting to get to know the way back to total health and well being without going through conventional medicine but rather functional medicine. By the way, what I applaud and also appreciate the most is that Ed and Luzia are great human beings with great passion to help people attain and live a healthy and happy life. Thank you Ed and Luzia for everything you're doing through Essence for Wellness, keep up the great work! I bless you both!

I’m so grateful for the support and guidance I received from this amazing functional medicine doctor. In just three months, I’ve experienced a huge transformation—my perimenopause symptoms have significantly reduced, I’ve lost weight, and I feel more energized and in tune with my body than I have in years. With natural medicine and personalized diet recommendations, I’ve learned how to truly support my health from the inside out. Highly recommend!
